BAD BONES JAPAN TOUR 2026
🇯🇵 Tokyo – Nov 4 | The Garden Hall
🇯🇵 Osaka – Nov 5 | Umeda Club Quattro

This song, originally performed by Kyu Sakamoto, was released in Japan in 1961 and became one of the most internationally successful Japanese songs ever recorded. This year marks 65 years since its original release - so it felt like the perfect time to pay tribute to this incredible song.

Happy 65th birthday, “Sukiyaki”!

I can’t wait to finally meet you all in Japan. Thank you for all the love and support you’ve given me over the years. This one is for you.

Time always tells the story
Just read between the lines on my face
We try to hide our memories
Doesn’t matter who you are
’Cause it’s written in the scars

You’ve been down and barely breathing
Trying to fake a smile through the pain
But every crack is part of healing
Doesn’t matter who you are
’Cause it’s written in the scars

Lay your head upon this beating heart
No more silence tearing us apart
Every fight, every fall, you don’t have to tell me
Doesn’t matter who you are
’Cause it’s written in the scars

Life can leave you beat and broken
Wounds are building up from inside
From all the words we left unspoken
Doesn’t matter who you are
’Cause it’s written in the scars

Lay your head upon this beating heart
No more silence tearing us apart
Every fight, every fall, you don’t have to tell me
Doesn’t matter who you are
’Cause it’s written in the scars

Can you hear my inner voices
I try to drown them every night
I’m still haunted by my choices
Doesn’t matter who you are

Chorus

Shame is such a quiet liar
Doesn’t matter who you are
’Cause it’s written in the scars
