Chael Sonnen is challenging the way fans remember Conor McGregor's biggest losses.

According to Chael, Conor has rarely been in a fight where he was simply overwhelmed from start to finish. Even against Khabib Nurmagomedov, Chael argues that there were moments of resistance and competitive exchanges that fans often overlook.

The Dustin Poirier rematch was different. That fight played out largely on the feet, in the exact area where Conor wanted to compete — and Poirier overwhelmed him.

But then there's Nate Diaz.

Chael believes Diaz is the one opponent who truly beat Conor in a way that stands out, and now he's taking another look at Conor's history with Max Holloway. Conor fought Max twice and came away with mixed results — but Chael points out that Conor was dealing with a significant leg issue in both fights.

Is that just Chael entering "Spin City," or is there something about the matchup that deserves another look?

If Conor gets another opportunity against Max, Chael believes we'll have to reconsider everything we thought we knew about their first fight.

Can Ian Machado Garry really beat Islam Makhachev? Chael Sonnen believes the answer is yes — and he thinks Garry has a specific path to victory.

Garry has already made his confidence clear, promising to use his size, speed, length, and striking to take Islam's title and throne. But Chael explains why this matchup is far more complicated than simply picking the bigger fighter.

Ian Garry's biggest weapon could be his ability to control distance. If he can consistently keep Islam at the end of his punches, he may be able to force the champion to fight at a range he's not comfortable with.

But there's a major tradeoff.

Chael points out that Islam is an elite wrestler, and Garry's height and length could actually give Islam more opportunities to grab and control him. The question becomes whether Garry can use his physical advantages to stay out of Islam's world — or whether Islam can close the distance and bring the fight to his.

After Garry's performance against Shavkat Rakhmonov, Chael believes we've already seen evidence that his wrestling can be challenged.

Now, Garry has the chance to prove just how good he really is.
