16 years ago, on September 1, 2010, Tarja released What Lies Beneath, her third solo studio album.
The album was mixed by Tim Palmer, Colin Richardson and Slamm Andrews in UK and USA.
Just a few days earlier, on August 30, was released the single “Until My Last Breath” co-written by Tarja and Johnny Andrews. The song was inspired by the media sensationalism surrounding Michael Jackson’s passing and was accompanied by two official music videos exploring different aspects of fame and mortality.
What Lies Beneath also featured “Falling Awake”, “I Feel Immortal" and “Underneath” as well as collaborations with artists such as Joe Satriani and Philip Labonte.
The album gave its name to the What Lies Beneath World Tour, which ran from 2010 to 2012 and included more than 100 concerts across Europe and Latin America.

🎨 13 years ago, Tarja released Colours In The Dark, her third solo studio album 🤘
The title reflects one of the album’s central ideas: life is made of countless colours, while darkness has the ability to contain them all. A fitting metaphor for an album filled with contrasts, emotions and different musical shades.
The record also marked Tarja’s first album mixed entirely by renowned British engineer and producer Tim Palmer, whose credits include legendary artists such as Pearl Jam, David Bowie and Ozzy Osbourne, among many others.
