FROM FREEZE TO PEACE
After October 7th, I found myself paralysed by fear, grief and conflicting emotions.
With my family in Israel and friends directly affected by the attacks, I felt caught between narratives demanding that I choose a side. Instead, I began searching for a way to engage with the conflict through peace, human rights, nonviolence and dialogue.
This journey led me to Guerrières de la Paix and to a gathering at the Institut du Monde Arabe, where peace activists called to move beyond a binary “pro-Israel” or “pro-Palestine” position and become pro-solution, pro-peace and committed to protecting the lives, rights and dignity of both peoples.
At the World Women’s Peace Forum in Essaouira, Morocco, I met Palestinian non violence activist Ali Abu Awwad, Israeli human-rights activist Rabbi Nava Hefetz, Iranian activist Aïda Tavakoli, and Hanna Assouline, among others. Their work showed me that recognising the suffering and rights of both Palestinians and Israelis does not require choosing between them — and that dialogue does not mean denying injustice, but creating the conditions to address it.
Their commitment made me want to respond through the language I know best: music and art.
A year later, I travelled to the West Bank with Ali and Nava to film the video for “Rabbit Hole.” Bringing together two people from opposite sides of the conflict, the film explores what becomes possible when we move beyond inherited narratives and encounter one another as human beings.
At the heart of the project is a simple act: sitting together, listening, and looking at one another without reducing the other to a political identity. Research suggests that mutual eye contact can increase social engagement and interpersonal connection, offering a small but meaningful opening toward recognition.

Rabbit hole
I hated you
Cause they told me too
Was scared of you
D’Like they used to do a
Je
You hated me
Cause they mold you to
Was scared from me
was it really you ?
Into the trap we fall
Into the rabbit hole
Into the trap we fall
Under the bullet hole
But if they knew
That We looked into
Undo Their lies
And Their point of view
Don’t wanna die
Eye for an eye
It’s love I trust
My star dust
Into the trap they call
Into the rabbit hole
Into the trap we fall

This song came from a feeling I often have at night, just before falling asleep. A kind of sweet sadness, as if the end of the day is a little goodbye in itself. Maybe it's because sleep and dreams take us somewhere else, somewhere beyond the usual boundaries of time and reality. The song was inspired by a dream I had about my father after he passed away. In that dream, everything felt real and unreal at the same time. I wanted to capture that strange space where memories, dreams, and emotions blend together.
I filmed and directed this video at the Alma River in Martinique, one of the places I love most in the world. Whenever I'm there, surrounded by the tropical forest, I feel deeply connected to something I can't quite explain.
This video is about that feeling of floating between worlds: between presence and absence, the visible and the invisible, reality and dreams.
I hope it resonates with you.

When we go to bed
Why do we feel bed When we go to bed
When we go to bed
Simply wanna stay in today
When we go to bed
When you go to bed
When you move ahead
Why do we feel sad when we’re going to bed
What is so sad
Lay down your head, Go to bed
Is it the end?
Down within yourself it's oh so mad.
Go inside my lake, insight myself
Grow inside this feeling, How im back
To be scared
Why do we feel bad when we’re going to bed
When we go to bed…
Why do we feel bad when we go to bed
When we go to bed, when we go to bed
Feeling time ahead
When we go to bed, when we go to bed
With the fear inside my head
I look outside a big window and i see a lake with huge big fish swimming
and people swim with them as if it was normal
but i dont wanna go to swimm with them, im tired
My father is suddenly alive, and we spend some time together like we used to.
But suddenly he dies again. I realize he was not really dead for a long time,
but I thought he was, so I didn’t enjoy him
I cry like I never did before.
I'm in such pain and regret during all the dream
I try to remember if he was already dead and came back
or if he was alive, but I can't.
and my conclusion is, that he was not really dead
When I wake up it's strange because I know it's been three years since he died ,
but in my dream, he was only sleeping and waiting to come back.
