Ben Harper - Emotional Arson
Performed on the new Taylor Ben Harper Gold Label 512e Special Edition Guitar, available now at all fine music retailers.
Lyrics:
I'm chasing down an arsonist
Instead of putting out flames
So they went higher
Now my house is on fire
I climbed a mountain
To see what could be found
Turned out was nothing but down
About a mile
Could see my house on fire
I cut the dose in half
But I've never been good at math
Now I feel twice as much
And still not nearly enough
To ease my desire
My house is on fire
I stop at green lights
You speed through red
Should've listened
To what ten people said
It was all on the wire
My house was on fire
You grew up in the snow
Me in the sun
Didn't know where
But we both had to run
We wouldn't dare tire
With our houses on fire
I cut the dose in half
But I've never been good at math
Now I feel twice as much
And still not nearly enough
To ease my desire
My house is on fire
Deal with the darkness
Don't make a deal with the darkness
You ask if I'm doing okay
I'm at a loss for what to say
But since you enquired
My house is on fire
God shook while Mary wept
The cross was built
While apostles slept
They had conspired
The house was on fire
I cut the dose in half
But I've never been good at math
Now I feel twice as much
And still not nearly enough
To ease my desire
My house is on fire

Beachboy Dumble Part 1 - Clean Tone | Ben Harper
This is the amp that I recently did a short film about with @fretboardjournal (link below)
In the filming process, we ran out of time to properly put it through the sonic paces it deserves, so I’ll be doing a three-part tone test of the amp. Of the Dumbles I have this one may sound the best.

Ben Harper - Before The Rain Dried
This song is written in loving memory of Michael (The Warden) Ward, father, friend, cyclist, and one of the most inspiring musicians I've ever had the privilege of making music with.
Stream or download at https://bhic.lnk.to/btrd
Lyrics:
Time runs in
Time runs out
All I have left
Is what I need to survive
Look what I've done
With my pain
Imagine what I could've done
With joy
The long slow midnight
Watching me pace the floor
Home is the bag that I keep
Packed by the door
The rain dried
Before it hit the ground
Sometimes I cry
But don't make a sound
Never meant to let you down
Before the rain dried

Birdthrower feat. Ben Haper - If I Needed You (by Townes Van Zandt)
Stream & Download "If I Needed You" performed by Birdthrower feat. Ben Harper written by Townes Van Zandt: https://madbunnyrecords.lnk.to/ifineededyou
@madbunnyrecords is proud to release a holiday single by Birdthrower featuring @benharper, the Townes Van Zandt classic "If I Needed You." This single is Birdthrower's first release since his self titled 2021 debut on the label and will be followed by a full length album in 2025.
"On this track Birdthrower is the cello and I am the violin," Ben mused. "He and I both share a deep love for this track and it's exciting to pay tribute to one of the great American songwriters while singing a song I feel this passionate about."
Birdthrower is based in NYC and is a singer/songwriter as well as a multi-media performance and visual artist. Harper first encountered him as the artist crawled up the streets of Manhattan for his art project "Crawling Home." Born and raised down the road from Thoreau's Walden Pond, Leaver has always shared a deep connection to the outdoors and has worked a series of jobs as a stonemason, landscaper and currently as a gardener in Manhattan's Riverside Park.
Birdthrower's self titled debut was released in 2021 and garnered critical acclaim: @rollingstone called it a "goth-folk gem". While American Songwriter wrote, "These new Birdthrower songs, produced by Harper with stunning purity, form the ideal song cycle for these nonsensical times.
