Peter Hook dit « Hooky » [ˈpiːtə hʊk], né le , est un musicien anglais, bassiste. Il est connu pour être bassiste et fondateur du groupe cold wave Joy Division. À la suite du suicide du chanteur Ian Curtis le , il forme New Order avec le reste de Joy Division : Stephen Morris à la batterie et Bernard Sumner au chant, guitare et claviers. Gillian Gilbert les rejoindra peu après à la guitare et aux claviers.

Here with "Ceremony" performed by Peter Hook & The Light at their "So This Is Permanent" Ian Curtis tribute concert in May 2015 that saw the band perform every Joy Division track ever written in Ian’s local church.
In 2022, The Light will tour North America in August and September followed by dates in Belgium & the Netherlands in late September before visiting Ireland, Australia and New Zealand in November.
