While not instantly reflecting the album’s cosmic themes, it captures an essential side of Purple Disco Machine: the ability to create huge, uplifting records that connect instantly. Built around vibrant production, warm keys, and an ‘80s disco-rock kick, ‘Test My Luck’ has all the ingredients of an anthem. MEEK’s vocals bring a modern pop sensibility with an indie-rock edge, balancing confidence and vulnerability and making her voice a perfect complement to the anthemic production. With a nostalgic quality running through the record, it strikes that rare balance of exemplifying all the immediacy of a crossover hit without sacrificing the emotional core that has become a consistent piece of the German producer’s artistry.

London-based artist MEEK has quickly emerged as one of UK pop’s most compelling voices. Having honed her craft behind the scenes, writing for the likes of Rita Ora, Martin Garrix, R3HAB and Alan Walker, featuring on Walker’s hit ‘Dancing In Love’, MEEK has stepped firmly into the spotlight with breakout single ‘Fabulous’. The track, which climbed viral charts earlier this year, and is at US Top 40 radio and #32 in Billboard’s Pop chart.

Pairing bold alternative pop with an ethos rooted in individuality and self-expression, MEEK continues her rise by bringing her powerful vocal presence to ‘Test My Luck’.

LYRICS:

All night long
I wanna hold you
Can't go wrong
And I don't want to
Keep me high
Until the suns out
Just don't leave
Me til I come down

Tonight I wanna fall in like a fool
Don't wanna follow any of the rules
I wanna be the one you thought you knew
Surprising you!

Ohhh

Lead me astray
Don't let me lose this rush
Honey my heart
Don't wanna think too much
More than just tempted
Evertime we touch
(Hey! hey!)
I wanna test my luck
Drawing me in just like a moonless sky
Warmin' the night the way our sparks they fly
More than just tempted
Evertime we touch
(Hey! hey!)
I wanna test my luck

We’re still young
The night’s wide open
Don’t need plans
Just need the moment
Lose control
And let the world spin
If you go
I’ll chase the feeling
