Wake Up With Me 🌞

The last time I played this song was on the first English Rain tour over 10 years ago until one of my sweet patreons requested it recently. It defrosted in my mind and I remembered how much I love this song!

It’s hard to remember what it was written about though. I wrote it with Iain Archer and we worked together a lot at the time whilst making English Rain. He is one of my favourite songwriters and artists. His studio was above an old church in North London and it felt like a real artistic retreat amongst my first steps into the corporate and shiny music industry. And looking back now this song feels like it was about retreating from the madness and focusing in on what matters and where you want time to stop.
My only regret is that I forgot about it for so long. I think I need to add it back to future set lists! If anyone wants me to do a deep dive on a song I’ve probably forgotten then let me know! X

My first vlog/garden tour/chaos is on my Patreon! It’s 17 mins long. It’s a feature-length movie. Spielberg is shaking in his boots!!

Jokes aside lol I don’t love to give too much of my life away on the big open social media, so if this is your thing then you are so very welcome to join us on patreon 🤍
