Kate Rusby - Singy Songy Session SPRING Tour - APRIL & MAY 2024
Kate Rusby embarks on her 'Singy Songy Session Tour' April & May 2024 - expect a more intimate show this Spring! So what will the show be this Spring! Well, Kate was reminiscing about filming the Singy Songy Sessions through 2020 (still available to view on her YouTube channel right here!) and how much she loved doing them each week to send out to you! It brought her and husband @damienokane7633 so much joy hearing from you all, your stories and how you connect with different songs. So we thought we’d bring a similar gig out on the road.
A more petite touring format so a little more acoustic in parts, with myself and the incredibly talented Damien O’Kane, Duncan Lyall and Sam Kelly.
One of the Top Ten Folk Voices of the Century, a Mercury Prize Winner and 6-times BBC Radio 2 Folk Award Winner, Rusby and her band promises stunning vocals, skilled musicianship, Yorkshire humour, and songs old and new from her impressive back catalogue 🥳🥳
Celebrating over 30 years of touring and 22 albums including her latest beautifully stunning Christmas album, Light Years, released in December 2023, Kate and her band of merry and very talented men will be visiting us in her 50th birthday year with songs old and new.

Kate Rusby LIGHT YEARS Christmas Tour 2023
2023 ‘Established 1973’ Christmas Tour
Kate Rusby celebrates turning 50 with a brand new Christmas album and tour...
With a brand new Christmas album, Light Years, released Dec 1st, Kate rounds off 2023 and celebrates her 50th birthday in style with a Christmas tour full of warmth, sparkles and her festive music from her new and previous Christmas albums.
“Kate Rusby remains Britain’s most popular female folk singer because she has mastered the art of Christmas songs” – The Guardian
Hailed as ‘The Start of Christmas’ for many, a Kate Rusby Christmas Concert perpetuates the tradition of Yorkshire carols, specific carols still sung in the pubs of South Yorkshire. Her happiness, humour and storytelling are a feature of Kate’s live shows branding herself as a ‘Holly Head’ – someone who loves Christmas. Joining her on stage for this unmissable evening of Christmas cheer will be, as ever, her hugely talented and intuitive band of musicians including producer and husband Damien O’Kane as well as a top-flight brass quintet affectionately known as The Brass Boys.
A folk singer at heart, she’s taken the genre to new heights appealing way beyond the folk scene and her Yorkshire roots, headlining in the UK and internationally, performing with other big names in music across genres. She has a number of TV, radio and film credits to her name as well as her own record company and festival.

Kate Rusby - Glorious (Single Edit) - Available NOW on all Major Digital Platforms.
Taken from Rusby's new Christmas record LIGHT YEARS, due for release 01.12.2023.
‘GLORIOUS’ proves categorically that Christmas is not just for Christmas, composed as it was one February when Kate, standing in her snow-laden garden and longing for spring, was captivated by the thought of a lost and broken angel sitting in one of the trees. It’s a song of renewal, healing, hearts of light and wings of love. It's likely to invoke the presence of those we need to reach out to, or those we have cherished and lost over the years in the most heartening and emotive manner possible. You might want to put a box of Kleenex on your Christmas list.
